Gary Figueroa I find the EP's music delightful, melodic, and lyrically poetic, whether original or cover compositions. Mike Savino's banjo/banjola is legend. Kishi Bashi again refines both his music and style, much to my deep satisfaction. Emigrant EP represents a beautiful example of accomplished Americana-styled Chamber Pop. Rule kishi continues to provide beautiful mature pop. there's always a orchestral complexity to his to tunes as well as being eminently toe tappable.

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
